Knitting

New post. That took a long, long, long time to get posted. Hehe.

I've taken up knitting since, oh, 1989?, I think. I've never been very good at it, but I've managed to knit a few things, Dickens's Christmas mice (pictures will be posted as soon as I can find the darn things), sugarmice, some skirts and sweaters - all from Women's Weekly (British Ed.), a few knick knacks.
I found some books on knitting, some I downloaded from Project Gutenberg (FREE e-books here!), some I bought, others hand-me-downs.
I found a few good (at least to me!) sites on knitting and free knitting pattern. Let me list them here:

This is my main reference site (free patterns and all). However, not all patterns are free, some you have to buy. But this site does provide loads of useful links. And by the way, some of the patterns are patented, so consider yourself warned!

I've yet to explore this site, but a nice website from what I can see. Loads of pattern and other useful stuff

Nice designs, but rather time consuming (for lazy people like me)

I found some nice patterns here. They do provide instructions and techniques for beginners and refresher course for lapse knitters like me ;-) They do have loads of link to designer patterns...

From what I can see, they give you ideas of what to do with your leftover yarns. They sell a book that you can order online. They do give out free sample pattern, though.

These sites are merely the tip of the iceberg. There are thousands of good sites and books out there. Hey, if it's free patterns you want, google it and they will come....

Happy Knitting!
